I just completed a course on how to buy and sell HUD homes.  Very interesting! It seems like a complicated process, but worth it when it's the right house! I am interested in the 50% discount available to teachers and law enforcement officers in certain revitalization areas.  That could be huge for some people! Imagine buying a $200,000 home for half that! I'm excited to let some of my teacher friends know about this in case they find themselves ready to buy.

I was also under the wrong impression as far as who can represent a buyer through the process of buying a HUD home.  I thought it was only the Broker registered with HUD, but no! Any agent working under a registered Broker can also represent buyers in the process! I wish I knew that a few months ago when my sis-in-law wanted to by a HUD home!

Lastly, I have noticed that some people have a negative opinion of HUD homes.  I have to ask..."Why"? These homes are simply homes that were bought using FHA loans that fell into foreclosure and now the title is held by HUD.  Seems like there are some good deals available to those who are out there buying and qualify!

There's nothing better than learning something new to help out my buyers! I love adding a new tool to my box!
